The client is a global provider of Maritime Software that enables fleet management, voyage performance analytics, and real-time operational intelligence for shipping companies worldwide. Serving thousands of commercial, tanker, and cargo vessels, the platform helps operators monitor voyages, optimize fuel efficiency, predict ETAs, strengthen safety, and streamline shore–ship collaboration. With more than 13,000 vessels already using this solution, it became a mission-critical system for charterers, navigators, performance analysts, and marine operations teams who rely on fast, accurate data to drive decisions. But as adoption surged, scalability limits and technical debt surfaced-revealing an urgent need for modernization.

Although the platform continued to expand, cracks began to show. Software releases slowed dramatically, bugs outpaced fixes, and requested features could not be supported by the legacy architecture.
